A highly impressive Jaime Alguersuari reached the end of Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix with no major errors. As Sébastien Buemi suffered an off-track excursion at Turn 2 during the race, the reigning British Formula 3 Champion raced to an eventual fifteenth position, one lap down on winner Lewis Hamilton but ahead of his Toro Rosso team-mate.
Making history and ending a 29-year standing record this weekend by becoming Formula One's youngest ever driver, Alguersuari kept out of trouble and ran into no difficulties in pit-stops. "I am very happy to have finished but the last five laps were very difficult from the physical point of view," the Spaniard admitted.
"I found it hard to keep the car on the pace but I am very satisfied. P15 is not so bad but the main objective was to complete the 70 laps, with no mistakes, maintaining my pace; I have learned a lot but I have to say there are some aspects of F1 which made me think 's*** this is tough!'"
