Michael Schumacher will be testing Ferrari's F2007 once again, it has been revealed. The German first drove the double title-winning car two Fridays ago and is unable to take control of the current F60 until his arrival in Valencia next weekend; as Autosport has revealed, however, he will again be piloting the F2007 in Italy before the next Grand Prix.
With the testing ban allowing no Formula One car to be driven on a circuit during the season other than on race weekends, Schumacher's first taste of the Ferrari F60 will come only in Friday's free practice sessions ahead of the European Grand Prix. Due to a loophole in regulations, however, the German is able to test the 2007 challenger as the Ferrari team itself did not prepare the vehicle.
With workshop Clienti, a sister company of Ferrari, preparing the F2007, the seven-time World Champion first drove at Italy's Mugello track where he will be doing so again for a two-day encounter ahead of his shock F1 comeback. Question marks remain over the German's ability to race, however, as he awaits test results surrounding his neck strength after a motorcycle crash in February.
