Alguersuari to race karts in September

Jaime Alguersuari will add to his Formula One and World Series by Renault driving duties by taking part in the World Karting Championship in Italy next month. The 19-year-old, who competed in his first F1 race last time out in Hungary, is keen to race as much as possible in order to build up his racing wisdom.

Having taken the role of DJ in front of thousands in Barcelona's Plaza España last week, Alguersuari explained how he will race any four-wheel circuit vehicle in order to improve his race craft.

"I will be competing in the KZI World Karting Championship in Sarno, Naples in September," he told the official F1 website. "I am only interested in learning and learning to compete against the best. Portimao (the latest World Series round) and Sarno mean the same to me - pitting myself against the best drivers right now."
