Luca Badoer was not disappointed to have qualified the slowest in Valencia on Saturday as the Italian continues to readapt to the Ferrari car whilst acting as replacement for the injured Felipe Massa for the first time.
Until this weekend, test driver Badoer had not driven the Ferrari F60 in anger since pre-season testing, notably before several key updates had been added to the Scuderia's 2009 challenger. "I made a mistake on the last corner, which cost me a lot of time, but it doesn't matter," Luca said after being eliminated from Q1 on Saturday.
"This is all a test for me, this is the only way I can learn. I am still enjoying it and tomorrow the race will be exciting. I will do my best to hopefully, maybe, overtake somebody." The Ferrari will be joined on the back row of the grid by Jaime Alguersuari's Toro Rosso.
