Luca Badoer is positive that he is able to up the ante at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa. The Italian, substituting for Felipe Massa at Ferrari, endured a tough first race weekend for the Scuderia on which he was last of the runners but is confident that improvements will continue to be made.

With Badoer having only driven the Ferrari at full speed in pre-season testing before the race meeting in Valencia, it was a highly modified F60 which took to the track last weekend in comparison with that of the winter months.
"I feel one second more confident because that was the gap that I improved by," said the 38-year-old, who is the oldest driver in the field. "Of course, it is a reasonable step on a track like this so, as I have said before, I think Spa is a track I know and I will be at a better level on.
"I just tell you that this weekend I improved a lot and at Spa I think it will be much better, I don't know how much better; we will see there but, for sure, I will have a better feeling with the car, with the team, with the track and with everything - it will be much better, I promise you. For sure, it was a tough race; it was tough because F1 is very different compared to ten years ago and it was tough with the pressure to not make any mistakes."
