Mallya enjoys best day in his F1 life

In the team's second season of Formula One, Force India scored its first pole position for Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix. Co-owner Vijay Mallya said it was the best day in his life in the sport after seeing driver Giancarlo Fisichella win the top spot in Saturday's qualifying session.

Looking back at the team's historic qualifying session, Vijay Mallya commented: "Those last thirty seconds, I was measuring my heartbeat - my heart was pumping faster than the revs of the car! When qualifying was over there were still cars out there who could have taken pole - those where the longest thirty seconds of my life.

"This, nobody can take away. To qualify on pole at a Grand Prix has to be the best day of my life in Formula One."
