Rome exhibition planned for Senna

An exhibition dedicated to the life and works of Ayrton Senna has been staged to take place in the aftermath of the Italian Grand Prix. The event will also mark the fifteen-year anniversary of the founding of the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-governmental organisation funded by the success of Senna-licensed products.

All proceeds from the Institute go towards improving the lives of unprivileged children in Senna's home nation of Brazil as the exhibition in the Italian capital of Rome is set to take place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September, the weekend after the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The event will be held at the Brazilian Embassy and will see the arrival of three of Senna's racing cars (from Formula One, Formula Three and Formula Ford) plus helmets and racing overalls as well as other mementos of the man who lost his life at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Those who attend will be guided through the tour by photographer Keith Sutton of Sutton Motorsport Images, a close friend of Senna, explaining the Brazilian's career which including winning the F1 world title in 1988, 1990 and 1991.
