Italian Jarno Trulli has said that Toyota has no valid reason for making a decision to leave Formula One at the end of the season. Question marks surround the Japanese manufacturer which, in its eighth season of competition, is yet to win its first Grand Prix.

After Honda's exit from F1 in December and with BMW having already announced its departure at the end of this season, rumours continue to circulate around Toyota, which has struggled with a mysteriously inconsistent car for Trulli and Timo Glock in 2009.
"Toyota says that there is no reason to exit F1," Trulli told Italy's Corriere dello Sport ahead of a charity football match on Thursday. The F1 veteran repeated that, with gossip also hovering over his own future, he wishes to stay put. "I'm very well at Toyota, where I have done and am doing a good job," he added.
