Vitantonio Liuzzi was extremely pleased to have achieved a grid position of seventh on his return to Formula One. The Italian, at his home Grand Prix this weekend, makes his comeback for Force India after last been seen in the sport at the 2007 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Tonio Liuzzi first drove in F1 for Red Bull Racing at the 2005 San Marino Grand Prix, scoring a top eight result on his debut, before switching to sister team Toro Rosso for the next two seasons. With Force Indias second and seventh on the Monza grid, it was another strong day for the Silverstone team.

"I cannot complain at all," Liuzzi commented after qualifying. "We're in seventh place for tomorrow and I'm really optimistic because, looking at the speeds of others, our weight is quite interesting; we really have a chance to have a good race, which I wasn't expecting because I wasn't ready.
"I hadn't raced for a year and a half - that's a long time to wait - and I was a bit scared of making a little mistake and not putting a lap together but the car was well-balanced. We have to see about the weather tomorrow because it is getting cloudy now - we have to hope that it doesn't rain." Since saying that, Tonio has witnessed torrential downpours at Monza and more showers threaten to affect Sunday's race.
