Renault President and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn has made clear than onlookers should walk before they run and fully examine the 'Crashgate' scenario before any decisions are taken following the race-fixing claims and further reaction to the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.
The team sent out a brief press release on Wednesday stating that both Team Principal Flavio Briatore and Executive Director of Engineering Pat Symonds, both stalwarts and key members in the Enstone squad, have now left their positions.

With an FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing set for next Monday, Ghosn advices colleagues to remain calm. "All I have asked is that we do not react in the heat of the moment," he said at the Frankfurt Motor Show, "that we examine the facts and look at exactly what happened.
"There are investigations underway and we are doing them in collaboration with all of the F1 authorities because I absolutely don't want to rush into an interpretation in just one way or another - that's what the team is doing under the responsibility of Bernard Rey (Team President) and I am confident that, when the facts are established, we can make a very clear decision."
Unsurprisingly, the revelations have thrown the team's future into doubt as some insiders predict fines for the team which would not be dissimilar to that of McLaren following 'Liegate' in 2007, with predicted figures in the region of £50m.
