Renault hits Russian streets

The Renault Roadshow rolled into another new venue at the weekend as Romain Grosjean and reserve driver Adam Khan took to the wheel in Russia's Sochi. In an event sponsored by team partner MegaFon, the pairing received a large turnout as the demo took place at the same time as the city hosted the Economic Forum.

The kilometre-long circuit around which Grosjean and Khan circulated was situated near the port of the Southern Russian city, as a select few enjoyed the chance to ride as passengers in the Enstone team's three-seater cars.

"Coming to Sochi has been a wonderful experience," Grosjean commented. "It's a great city and the people here have given us such a warm welcome and are really enthusiastic about Formula One." Once the duo had set lap times on the track, simulators allowed the public to attempt an improvement as well as reaction comparisons with the F1 drivers.

"Driving a Formula One car is always a special experience but to do it on the streets of a city is even more exciting," Khan added. "This event gave a lot of fans in Sochi their first chance to see a Formula One car up-close, so I hope that they enjoyed the show!"
