Sebastian Vettel, the man currently standing third in the Drivers' Championship albeit twenty-six points adrift of championship leader Jenson Button, remains upbeat about his prospects for the remaining four races of the 2009 season.

The young German has been dubbed 'Baby Schumi' in his homeland and has become universally acknowledged as a top driver for his consistent performances throughout the year. However, these ever-increasing expectations do not seem to phase the 22-year-old.
"I am still the same person but, for sure, you learn every day - you try to improve together with the team," Vettel told the official F1 website. "The more you move up the pecking order, the more careful you get as you might find your notions immediately in the media."

Vettel's catapult up the Red Bull ladder to victory has not come without a price; karma struck the young Red Bull Racing driver, with engine failures mid-season to leave him without the use of any fresh components for the remainder of the season. "To survive with the engines we have is quite simple," he continued. "They have to be perfect from now on." When asked whether he would consider taking a fresh engine with the knowledge of facing a 10-place drop he replied: "With hindsight, it probably would have been okay to take a new engine and penalty at Monza, when you look at the result."
With competitor teams Ferrari and McLaren now focusing their efforts on the 2010 season, a 26-point gap to the Drivers' standings lead and 40.5-point difference between Brawn and Red Bull for Constructors' honours, many believe the latter should follow suit and leave the Brawns to turn against each other.

Sebastian remains defiant: "We are still pushing and putting new parts on the car and will get an update for Singapore. To be fair, I don't think that any team will stop putting new elements on their cars. As testing is restricted, all the teams will use the track time as much as they can."
Vettel still defies all doubters by insisting that he will continue to battle for both titles until the task is mathematically impossible. "It's true that the gap is quite big but be sure that we will try," he added. "I will fight to the last breath and minute. From now on, our target is to win!"
