Bell appointed as Renault Team Principal

Renault F1 Technical Director Bob Bell will become the Enstone squad's new team boss until the end of the season, it was announced on Wednesday. Bell will replace Flavio Briatore, as the Italian receives a lifetime ban from the sport following Monday's FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris.

Renault F1´s reshuffling of key players is as follows:

- Bob Bell, currently Technical Director, takes on the duty of Team Principal and Chief Technical Officer

- Jean-François Caubet, currently Director of Marketing and Communications, takes the role of Managing Director


Both men will report to Bernard Rey, President of the Renault F1 Team.

Bob Bell will attend all remaining races of the season and will be the team's spokesperson on all sporting and technical matters.
