Webber: Title win very difficult

25 September 2009

Mark Webber no longer believes that he holds has a realistic chance of winning the Drivers' Championship this season. The Australian is currently fourth in the standings, 28.5 points behind championship leader Jenson Button.

"The Drivers' Championship is very difficult," Webber said in Thursday's press conference in Singapore. "I think Jenson has to get four or five points on us and it's all over.

"I'm coming here trying to get the best result for me and looking forward to Suzuka next week as well, as we have got a few good tracks hopefully that we can get some good results at - but the championship is much more difficult now."

Australian Webber, who faced a difficult race in Singapore last year, believes his car should have less problems with the track this season. "I hope that it will be better this year," the Red Bull driver continued. "We have shown this year that we have had a few engine problems but on the chassis side we have been pretty good so - touch wood - we will be okay on Sunday night and can get a good chunk of points."
