Nico Rosberg clinched a career-equaling best of third on the grid for the Sunday night Grand Prix of Singapore. The young Williams driver was pleased to be back on form after having difficulties with car setup at Monza and Spa.

Nico pinpointed how the Toyota-powered Williams car has changed between the high speed races of Italy and Belgium and its arrival in Asia. "At Spa and Monza it was a completely different car," he said, having qualified 18th a fortnight ago. "This is the car we did well in before and, with more updates, we're even quicker and developing rapidly within the team.

"The car's really improved all day, we're just going quicker and quicker. The heavier fuel's a bit more difficult but it's still going really well. This is a step towards podium finishes." Nico finished second in last year's inaugural race on the streets of Marina Bay, behind the Renault of Fernando Alonso.
