Renault had been under the microscope at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix and has come away with a similar result to last year's - now tainted - first night race. Having started fifth, Fernando Alonso registered the team's first podium of the season in third.
With Alonso driving a faultless race - finishing third and picking up valuable points in the run in to the end of the season - and Romain Grosjean retiring early having retired in the opening stages, the similarities are obvious to the story that has held the world's attention in the past weeks.
A side effect of 'Crashgate' was the promotion of Bob Bell to Team Principal and the Northern Irishman was very positive with the end result. "We're really, really pleased - we really wanted to come here and get a good result," he told Catalan broadcaster TV3. "It's the first step of a long climb to get back up to where we used to be."
