Force India's Adrian Sutil has received a fine and official reprimand from FIA-appointed race stewards for his part in the collision which took both he and Nick Heidfeld of out Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
Having been battling with Jaime Alguersuari's Toro Rosso, Sutil lost control and spun on the apex of Turn 14. Instead of waiting for cars to pass by, however, the German accelerated into the right-rear wheel of passing compatriot Heidfeld's BMW.
As a result of a post-race investigation, Sutil will not receive a 10-place grid drop for Japan but has been warned by the FIA and is obliged to pay a fine of US€20,000 (£12,500).
