In a largely disappointing weekend for the Ferrari team, Kimi Räikkönen failed to score points for the second year in a row in Singapore. After being considered a favourite before the weekend, the Finn eventually finished Sunday's night race in a disappointing tenth position.
"I couldn't do any better - the car was sliding everywhere and I had no grip," the 2007 World Champion commented after a Grand Prix which sees McLaren close to within three points of the Scuderia for third in the Constructors' Championship.
There was an improvement in handling during the later stages but the Williams of Nakajima proved a obstacle. "The softer tyres improved the situation and I closed up to Nakajima but here really difficult to overtake here," Kimi continued.
The flying Finn then turned his attention to Suzuka but has his doubts over improvement. "I don't expect the situation to be much different next week," he admitted. "It's a very demanding track for the car from an aerodynamic point of view and we are lacking in this area. Having said that, I will be trying my hardest."
