Timo Glock is confident of keeping a race seat in Formula One next year after achieving a fine podium finish in Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. Like team-mate Jarno Trulli, the German is out of contract at the end of the season but believes he has proven that his abilities deserve a drive.

Having finished third in Malaysia and second in Singapore this year, Glock is up to ninth in the Drivers' Championship and now only two points behind former double Champion Fernando Alonso. "The teams are looking around, the drivers are looking around, so it's quite an interesting period in Formula One," Timo told Reuters.
"A podium like we had in Singapore does show what I can do; the market is a bit full with drivers at the moment but my possibilities are quite good." With only Red Bull having confirmed its full 2010 line-up, question marks remain over Toyota as well as the remainder of teams.
"We haven't closed the door on Timo and he hasn't closed the door on us," a Toyota spokesperson commented. "He remains a possibility for 2010, as does Jarno (Trulli)."
