Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali has stressed that no team orders will apply next year as Fernando Alonso joins the Scuderia to race alongside Felipe Massa. The Italian explains that, in the same way Massa and Kimi Räikkönen were treated between 2007 and this season, equal status will be enjoyed.

With former double Champion Alonso moving from Renault, Massa's March return in Bahrain will be his first Formula One race since his July podium drive in Germany. "This is the way we manage the team," Domenicali told Racer. "This is the way that drivers coming to our team have to respect the rules."
He then replied to a question regarding the Spaniard's intense rivalry with team-mate Lewis Hamilton two years ago. "I don't have the elements to speak about his previous experience at McLaren," Domenicali said. "It would be wrong for me to say something about that because I was not involved and I don't know the details.

"But the way that he is, the character he is - and he is World Champion - and the personality he has will fit perfectly with the way the team will operate; I don't see it being a problem at all, to be honest."
Stefano also confirmed that he has spoken with Felipe Massa regarding his new team-mate, with whom the Brazilian almost came to blows in the aftermath of the 2007 European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. "Of course I spoke to him," the Team Principal added, "but now he is mainly focused on the recovery and for him it is important."
