Even though it is not very likely Timo Glock is able to participate in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix the Toyota team does not wish to make a decision already whether or not the German can join Sunday's race. The team won't make a final decision until Sunday morning.

Timo Glock crashed heavily in the final qualifying session. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital with a wound in his leg following his crash in the final corner at Suzuka.

Speaking about the incident Toyota's Pascal Vasselon said: "We are frustrated of course that he didn't qualify where we expected but happy that he is okay because that is always our priority. It was a heavy impact but the data shows no sign of anything unusual on that lap."

In case Glock is unable to race the team hopes to replace him with the team's reserve driver Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese driver already replaced an ill Glock in Friday's two practice sessions.
