Brawn GP had a solid outing this weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix and now needs just half a point to win the Constructors' Championship in the Brackley-based outfit's first year under the name.
Ross Brawn, Team Principal of the championship-leading team, had hoped to collect more points and the Constructors' title this weekend. "I think we lost it on the Safety Car," he explained to the BBC. "The title is ageing on us but we'll get there eventually."

Both Brawn drivers received 5-place penalties for qualifying under yellow flags and Ross was mindful of the effects on the outcome of Sunday's race. "Jenson was happy with the car and did a good job in qualifying," Brawn continued. "We made a mistake under the yellows but, with the pace we had, we might have lost out on a podium."
It remains to be seen as to whether Brawn will clinch the title today, as Nico Rosberg is under investigation from the stewards and could be given a 25-second penalty which would promote both Brawn drivers and hand the Constructors' title to the ex-Honda team.
