As Sebastian Vettel dominated the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Red Bull Racing team-mate Mark Webber suffered two setbacks on the opening two laps of the Grand Prix and was unable to recover to a points position from there.
"I had to make two pit-stops on the first two laps, so it was all over from there," explained the Australian. "On the first lap, the headrest came loose in the car so I had to come in and get that fixed. I went back out but the same thing happened so I had to come in again in order for the guys to tape it down."
Webber eventually made five pit-stops over the course of the race but after his first stint was too far adrift of the pack to consider getting back into contention. "We tested some things today and tried some other items for future races," he continued. "That's all we could really do from there."
At the end of the afternoon, the Red Bulls bookended the results with first and seventeenth as Webber finished two laps down on his victorious team-mate.
