Renault ready for Romanian demo

08 October 2009

Renault's popular Roadshow will greet another new city this weekend as the French team makes its way to the Romanian capital of Bucharest. Regular driver Romain Grosjean will be on hand alongside tester and GP2 contender Lucas di Grassi.

Having been seen in Spain last time out, the Renault Roadshow now makes its way to Romania in order to visit another country yet to stage an F1 race. "I'm really excited about this Roadshow and I'm looking forward to entertaining the fans with lots of donuts and burnouts," said Frenchman Grosjean.

A special 600-metre course has been designed in the city for the Libertatii Boulevard show on Saturday and Sunday. "These events are all about bringing the fans close to the cars so they can see things which are not possible at a Grand Prix, so I hope that lots of fans will come and watch the show," Romain, who will be driving last year's double race-winning R28, continued.

"I always enjoy Renault's Roadshows and the plans for this weekend sound great," Brazilian di Grassi added. "It's always special to drive a Formula One car on the streets of a city because you are so close to the public and it creates a very special atmosphere."
