Felipe Massa has been given the green light to proceed with testing the 2007 Ferrari after undergoing FIA-appointed medical tests in France on Friday. The Brazilian, still recovering from his Hungarian qualifying crash, is expected to run the car in Italy on Monday.
Having suffered the possibility of completely losing sight in his left eye after being struck in the helmet visor by an 800g steel spring at the Hungaroring, Massa's tests on Friday took place at the Pitié Salpetrière hospital in Paris under the watchful eye of FIA medical delegate Professor Jean-Charles Piette.
The medical test results have been confirmed as positive and Massa will therefore take the wheel of the F2007 on Monday, subject to weather conditions.
