Renault Team Principal Bob Bell is convinced that Robert Kubica will boost morale in the team as the Pole switches from the departed BMW next year. With the French marque preparing to enter its ninth season since returning to Formula One as a constructor in 2002, Kubica hopes for a title attack.

Having been a leading contender with BMW in 2008, the team's dramatic fall with new regulations this year has left both he and team-mate Nick Heidfeld out of contention. With many driver changes ahead of 2010, though, Bell in sure that Kubica's abilities are exactly what Renault needs as Fernando Alonso makes the transfer to Ferrari.
"First and foremost he's a very quick and consistent driver who has clearly demonstrated his ability," commented Northern Ireland's Bell, who is standing in following the sudden exit of Flavio Briatore. "He's also a fighter who never gives up, which is a characteristic which fits well with our approach at Renault.
"Looking to the future, he's definitely somebody who is going to push the team and his hunger for success and leadership qualities on the race track will help motivate it. Finally, on a personal level, he is a genuinely nice guy who I believe will work well with our engineers and have a good relationship with the team."
