A dominant feature on the engine covers of the Brawn GP cars in first practice at Interlagos were the logos of MAPFRE, as the Spanish insurance company has agreed a one-race sponsorship of the championship-leading team this weekend.
Already displaying the logos of Brazilian beer Itaipava and sister brand TNT energy drink for the race in São Paulo, a last-minute deal with MAPFRE was first noticed by many when the cars of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello ventured out onto track on Friday morning.

Founded in 1933, the MAPFRE insurance company is based in the Spanish city of Majadahonda, north-west of capital Madrid, although the company also has several other key offices across the country including one in the iconic twin towers of Barcelona's Olimpic Port.
"We are delighted to confirm our new partnership with the MAPFRE Group for the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend and to have MAPFRE and Banco do Brasil branding featuring on our cars," team owner Ross Brawn commented. "The Brazilian Grand Prix is set to be a very exciting race for Formula One and we look forward to sharing our experiences with MAPFRE over the course of the weekend."
Brawn is able to wrap up both titles at Interlagos, with only a single eighth place needed for Constructors' honours in its maiden season - a unique achievement the sport.
