Lewis Hamilton experienced a unique moment in Brazil this week as the outgoing World Champion finally received the chance to visit the grave of the late, great Ayrton Senna. The triple World Champion was killed in action in 1994 and now rests in São Paulo's Morumbi cemetery.

Born and bred of wealthy parents in the Brazilian city, Senna made his Formula One debut for Toleman in 1984 before going on to race for Lotus and claiming three World Championship titles for McLaren before his untimely death whilst driving his third race for Williams in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola.
Having been a championship contender on his first two visits to Brazil, Hamilton was unable to visit the site of the grave due to other commitments although the Englishman finally made the pilgrimage this week.
"It wasn't a private kind of thing," Hamilton is quoted as saying by The Times. "There were other people there, but it's an awesome place. It is very simple, just a plaque, but for me it was special. I'd wanted to do it for the last two years but I was being followed and all sorts of things."
