Rubens Barrichello will seemingly have to wait for another year to have a shot at victory in his home Grand Prix. Having repeated his 2003 and 2004 pole positions this weekend, the Brawn driver fell to an eventual eighth after picking up a puncture following contact with Lewis Hamilton.
With team-mate Jenson Button already in too high a position for Barrichello to keep his hopes alive with third place, a brave overtaking manoeuvre by outgoing Champion Lewis Hamilton saw Barrichello's left-rear tyre begin to deflate due to slight contact at Interlagos on Sunday.

"I've said before that people put flowers on my coffin at the beginning of the year," Barrichello, who looked to be out of a job in December, said after the race. "I was back driving a fantastic car and was so, so up for it! I've really got to thank God for the situation I've had for this year - it was a great car to drive."
With Rubens hoping to reclaim second place overall from Sebastian Vettel in Abu Dhabi, he has no doubts over his team-mate's achievement. "I'm pleased for Jenson as a friend and as a great Champion and, if I didn't win it, he should have so well done to him."
