Fans disappointed after Button Bluewater visit
22 October 2009 / PhotosA number of fans are believed to have been left downcast following Jenson Button's visit to the Bluewater shopping centre on Tuesday. The first public event for the Englishman as World Champion has been criticised by some for the limited amounts of time the Brawn driver spent with those who had gathered.
With Button attending the Kent shopping centre just two days after clinching the title his first title in Brazil, becoming Britain's tenth Formula One Champion in the process, a number of motorsport fans are seemingly unhappy after experiencing what they believe was an unsatisfactory event.

"I've been standing out here for four hours and hardly got a glimpse of him," an onlooker is quoted as saying by The Times. "I don't understand why he didn't spend time with both sides of the crowd, rather than leaving so quickly," another member of the public commented. "I wanted to shake his hand and get a photo but I am going to leave without anything."
Thankfully, the visit was not a letdown for all present as the Brawn man did take part in a Q&A session, which also included autograph signing.
