Sutil keen to extend Force India contract

30 October 2009

German driver Adrian Sutil is soon hoping to sign a new contract at Force India. The German joined the Silversone-based team, under its past label as Midland, as a test driver back in 2006 before being promoted to a race role at the then Spyker-bought outfit in 2007. For 2010, he hopes to continue racing for the team with which he started his F1 career.

When asked in Thursday's press conference in Abu Dhabi what his chances are of staying on at Force India, Sutil replied: "Well, at the moment I am still not confirmed but we are talking with Force India, for sure, and it would be a good thing to do another season there. Both sides are interested and I feel really good with my team at the moment."

Like Sutil, Italian team-mate Vitantonio Liuzzi is also yet to renew his contract for next season.
