Nico Rosberg was disappointed to have finished his Williams career with ninth place in Abu Dhabi as the German completed his final race with his only team thus far in Formula One. Having entered the sport with the Grove outfit in 2006, Yas Marina's season finale brought the curtain down on the Rosberg-Williams partnership, which spanned a grand total of seventy races.
After setting off from ninth on the grid for Formula One's first ever dusk Grand Prix, Nico - son of 1982 World Champion Keke, who won his title with the same team - finished the race by neither making up nor losing positions.

"I would have liked to help the team hold on to sixth place in the Constructors' Championship," said Rosberg, who saw BMW jump ahead by just 1.5 points. "From a personal perspective, my seventh place in the Drivers' table wasn't challenged and I think that was a good result this year, under the circumstances.
"It's been a long season and I would really like to thank all of the team for their efforts over the last four years - we have had a great time together." The 24-year-old is tipped to move to either Brawn or McLaren for next season.
