Christian Horner is delighted with what Red Bull Racing has achieved this season but is also keeping both eyes firmly open as the 2010 campaign draws ever closer. Although this year's championship may be barely 48 hours over, teams are now working flat-out on next season's contenders for what will be another season of changes.
With 2009 having welcomed a raft of aerodynamics changes, the biggest modification for 2010 will be the ban on refueling during races, meaning teams must fill cars up from the start; the change is larger than it may sound, with fuel tanks having to be increased in size and therefore cars becoming slightly longer in the process which, in-turn, means that aerodynamics must also be revised.

"There's no room for complacency in this sport," said Red Bull Team Principal Horner, whose team won six of the seventeen Grands Prix this year. "We've beaten some formidable opponents this year but they're not going to be sleeping; they've demonstrated in the second half of the year that they've worked very hard to recover - by winning races in Ferrari and McLaren's case - and I'm sure they'll be formidable opponents again next year."
With Red Bull having eventually lost out to Brawn GP in both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships, Horner recognises the strengths of Red Bull after what has been by far it's greatest season. "We'll learn lessons from this year and I think, as the team has developed, it's only got stronger," the Englishman added. "I'm convinced that it can continue to evolve and, with continuity in our line-up, we're perfectly placed to build on this year's campaign."
