
Renault is reported to have staged an emergency meeting in Paris on Wednesday with regards to the future of its Formula One team. Following news of Toyota's departure from the sport already today, it is believed the French company is considering whether to stay put as a works team, engine supplier or leave completely.
With Renault's meeting having been reported by the BBC, the news could result in the loss of a fourth car manufacturer from the sport within the space of a year.

Based in Enstone, England, the image of the Renault team and indeed its parent company was put into extreme negativity this season as the 'Crashgate' race-fixing scandal of Singapore 2008 was revealed to the public, resulting in the loss of title sponsor ING with immediate effect.
In terms of 2010, Robert Kubica has already been signed by the diamond marque although confirmation is yet to arrive for a team-mate to the Pole, whose management is now rumoured to in frenzied contact with McLaren.
It is believed no verdict has yet been decided following the last-minute get-together of company executives and team leaders Jean-Francois Caubet and Bob Bell.
