Brawn: 99 percent sure Button will stay

Ross Brawn calmed worried British fans on Monday as the championship-winning Brackley team paraded through the streets of hometown Brackley. Although Champion Button's car may have been on display, however, the man himself was not present although the Team Principal is confident over the relationship continuing.

With neither of Brawn's drivers officially confirmed for 2010, the only knowledge so far is that Rubens Barrichello will be switching from the team to Williams; the most expected line-up for Brawn is therefore Button alongside Nico Rosberg, who would effectively be swapping places with the Brazilian.

"I can give you 99 percent on Jenson Button," Ross told fans and reporters in Brackley, following questions over the English driver's absence. With the parade of open-top buses making its way through the south Northamptonshire town on a chilly day, Ross talked of the incredible story which involved the ex-Honda team seemingly rising from a lowest low to a highest high.

"It's fair to say that I've had some very special days in my career in motor racing and this is at the top of the list," Brawn continued, placing the achievement higher than any of his past successes at Ferrari or Benetton. "It's fantastic; I think it's just an amazing contrast we've been through this year - an amazing contrast the local community have been through as well.

"From the depths of despair over the winter to winning the World Championship, I can't think of two greater contrasts! Such a low to such an incredible high!"
